Built with SwiftUI for macOS
Tindbase lives in your menu bar and gives you instant access to every project, in any editor or terminal. No Finder. No friction.
Version 0.95 · Free · macOS 26.2 or later
Get started
Point Tindbase at your project folders, choose your preferred editor, and you're done. Every project is now one click from your menu bar.
Tell Tindbase where your projects live. Watch ~/Projects, ~/Work, Dropbox, or any folder you choose.
Choose a default editor and terminal in Settings. Override per project when needed. Preferences are remembered.
Click the menu bar icon, click a project. It opens in your configured editor instantly. That's it.
Set a global default editor, then override per project in settings. Your Swift project opens in Xcode, your web app in Cursor, your Rust project in Zed. All automatic. All one-click.
See the current branch and uncommitted changes for every project. First-class git worktree support. Connect GitHub to see all your repos and clone uncloned ones with a single click.
Tindbase detects Dropbox, Google Drive, and iCloud folders. See at a glance which projects are downloaded locally and which are online-only before you try to open them.
Click the terminal icon on any project row to open it in Terminal, Ghostty, or Warp. Same per-project override system as editors. Set a default in settings, override when needed.
